1904
It was 100 years ago that Adolf Bockemuehl laid the foundations of our company.
The former hotelier Adolf Bockemuehl and Karl Enders founded the company ADOLF BOCKEMUEHL.
They started in a little rented workshop and produced leather-belts and technical articles in leather for the textile industry. Only a short time later they built a small factory.
1914
During the First World War, in addition to their articles for the textile industry, they had to produce strings, shoulder straps and harnesses for horses for the army.
1929
After his education at home and abroad Hans Bockemuehl joined his father's company.
1940
Due to the shortage of leather Hans Bockemuehl tried, and was successful in replacing leather with synthetic materials, Polyamide is still being used for condenser tapes.
1956
As the business continued to grow the capacity of the manufacturing plant was doubled.
1968
After his education at home and abroad Horst Bockemuehl-Wuellenweber, Hans Bockemuehl's nephew joined the company.
1990
In order to stay ahead of the competition, and with an eye on the future BOCKEMUEHL expanded production with the founding of BOCKEMUEHL LDA.
